Congratulations to our winners! Thank you to the teams for sharing their tips for success below:

“We are working with an ethnically diverse population that gives us good recruitment opportunities. Dietitians, nurses, endocrinologists, and even our administrative assistant work together in identifying the potential MiTy patient early on. This team approach works!”
- The Scarborough Hospital team

“Our team consists of Dr. Edmond Ryan, Dr. Sarah Kwong and Dr. Rshmi Khurana, and 2 study coordinator RN’s, Heather Rylance and Shirley Beauchamp. We coordinate the MiTy Study out of 2 hospitals in Edmonton, the Royal Alex Hospital and the Grey Nun’s Community Hospital. These sites are 19Km apart. The Coordinators recruit and see participants at both sites. The team works together to promote the study and recruit participants, and is in frequent contact with each other. We have found that our potential participants come in spurts, none the less we keep trying.”
